With the same high quality – and even greater flexibility in design, colours and shapes – Diederich Lys continues as a strong and well-known name in Nordiq’s assortment.

Candles with quality in every flame

Diederich Lys is produced in Europe with a focus on quality, safety and a beautifully clear light.
All candles are made from 100 % fully refined paraffin, ensuring a stable and even burn.

The wicks are made of 100 % cotton and comply with OEKO-TEX® standards. They are completely free from lead and other harmful metals, providing a clean burn with minimal soot.

All transport cartons are FSC-certified and made from more than 90 % recycled material.

Colours and paraffin

The colours are specially developed for candles and meet all European requirements for chemical safety.

Wicks and dyes are supplied by leading European manufacturers.

All candles are tested according to European standards (EN15493 and EN15426) for both fire safety and soot emission.

This ensures they burn safely, evenly and with minimal soot

Designed to burn beautifully – all the way down

The hand-dipped taper candles have a white core, ensuring a cleaner burn.

The rustic pillar candles have a white paraffin core, and the base is shaved smooth and even. The paraffin core helps reduce air pockets and allows the wick to be placed precisely in the centre. The result is a stable and even burn.
